The Macintosh Catalog Screen Video is packaged in the QuickTime movie format. To view this file, you'll need Apple’s QuickTime extension (available in ZiffNet/Mac’s DownTech Forum libraries as QTIME.SIT in Library 14, Apple Software) and a movie-playing application such as Popcorn (available in ZiffNet/Mac’s DownTech Forum libraries as POPCOR.CPT in Library 1).
The Macintosh Catalog is also available as a FileMaker Pro 2.0 database. The FileMaker version is available under the filename DBMACS.SEA in Library 7 of the Download & Support Forum of ZiffNet/Mac; it’s also available in the ZiffNet Selections icon on AppleLink.
* I updated the prices on the Quadra 950 and Workgroup Server 95.
* I corrected the second “page” of the Workgroup Server 95, where the VRAM configurations were incorrectly listed as 512K and 2048K.
* I fixed a couple of items pertaining to the LC 520; it has full stereo sound out, and none of the configurations listed ships with a keyboard. I also found out the number of its System Enabler, though I still don’t know its Gestalt number.

* Major design revamp, with a gray panel-type card and embossed text.
* Video-support information has been added to the individual models’ listings, making it necessary to allocate two cards to each model. On the plus side, the card size is now smaller.
* The video-support appendix has been eliminated (see above).
* The price list cards are also redesigned.
* New specs added, including Gestalt number and required System software.
* By popular demand, the Mac name is now displayed horizontally.
* Now that I’m storing the announced and discontinued dates in a date field rather than a text field, I can’t get away with saying “August, 1990” where I only know the month. I entered these dates as the first of the month in question — thus, the date above would now read “August 1, 1990.” Sorry. :-(
* The Maximum RAM field for some models has two values, i.e. “32-128 MB.” The former number is the maximum RAM using 4 MB SIMMs, which are usually all Apple will vouch for. However, there’s usually no problem with larger sizes, providing you tell the vendor which model you’re buying them for; the latter number is the maximum RAM using 16 MB SIMMs.
* The Notes field is only used in the FileMaker database version; maybe next time I do the QuickTime version I’ll contrive a way to conceal it when I make the cards.
* I added the PowerBook 145B and 180c, and the LC 520.
* Many other miscellaneous corrections and modifications that slip my mind right now.

* I modified the splash screen to include the version number.
* I corrected the information on the Performa 600 and 600 CD, which have full 32-bit data buses, not 16-bit (I knew this, but the correction slipped through the cracks).

* New splash screen with less intimidating lettering, an illustration of the redoubtable Mac LC II, and some new helpful information.
* I made a couple of changes to the example model following the splash screen, most notably in rephrasing the A/UX support note.
* I corrected a number of errors in the color and mono display support table.
* I added a couple of configurations to the price list and added more detail on the various Performa configurations (including some corrections to the Performa 600 CD configuration).
* I changed the height of the LC III (and the Performa 450) to 3.0" instead of the 3.2" listed in the spec sheets; there’s no reason it should be any different from any other LC variant, especially the Performa 450, whose spec sheets actually list its height as the standard 3.0".
* I fixed the CPU type of the Workgroup Server 60, which has a mere 68LC040, like the standard Centris 610.
* Minor fixes to “announced” and “discontinued” dates.
